Our Duvet sleeping bag is one of the warmest and snuggliest winter sleeping bags available! It’s the only bag in the world which uses a quilted wool filling for additional warmth and temperature regulation, as most winter bags are filled with a synthetic polyester or cotton wadding.
It can be used from approximately 14 to 22 degrees by varying the clothing inside the bag. Ideal from autumn through till spring, and cooler nights in summer.
The outside layer is gorgeous 30% merino/70% soft cotton blend fabric. This beautifully soft fabric is knitted specially for woolbabe!
The bag is filled with a snug layer of 100% Australian wool filling, which gives amazing warmth and temperature regulating properties. It has the feel of a duvet or thick blanket, and many babies seem to sleep much better in this heavier feeling of wool. The weight of the filling also means less wriggling for a lot of children.
The duvet woolbabe is lined with a lovely 100% cotton lining, which is soft and smooth against your baby’s skin.
The combination of wool and cotton offers the best of both worlds, providing a light cover for your child in warmer conditions. These conditions are often more difficult to gauge what your child should sleep in. The wool component still provides the qualities which react to changes in body temperatures, keeping baby at a constant body temperature, which encourages everyone to have a good nights sleep.
This was was previously called the woolbabe ’winter’ bag, so this may still be one some swing tags and labels.

This woolbabe can be used in your buggy with a 5-point harness. It has a double-ended zip on the side of the bag, shoulder domes on both sides. There is a travel slot in the front and back of the bag. It is not safe to use the sleeping bag whilst travelling in a car seat.
The main considerations are how wriggly your child is and how often you will use the travel slot. If your child is very wriggly or likes to stand up in the cot we recommend a front-zip bag, as they may otherwise pop open the shoulder domes on a side zip bag.
The travel slot in the front-zip bag is only in the back, which means that little feet are unlikely to go through the slot which can happen with a side-zip bag. However, if you use the travel slot often you may prefer the slot in the front and back.
One other advantage of the side-zip woolbabe is that it opens out completely flat. This can make nappy changing a bit easier.
